COMMUNITY TRIP (NOVEMBER 2018)

We started at the Cave of St John the Hermit in Marathokefala. The cave is believed to date back to the 15th century and has a crypt where St John hid. There is a small room that was used as a Secret School during the Turkish occupation and next to the Temple is a rock through which it is believed "the Holy water of the saint" drips throughout the year.
Our next stop was Anoskeli Olive Mill and Winery,  where after seeing how olives are processed into olive oil, we were treated to pieces of bread topped with fresh olive oil! Delicious!
Our final stop was Frosini's Garden where we had lunch and relaxed around a wood stove. The kids found a cat and a horse to play with, too!
